Elke Wiebalck is a fundraising and philanthropy professional with more than 15 years of international experience across the cultural and non-profit sectors. Since 2021 she has been Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy at the Kunsthaus Zürich, Switzerland’s most visited art museum, where she leads the museum’s development programme. She has previously worked with philanthropists in support of Art Fund and the National Theatre in the UK, the Red Cross in Canada, and UNICEF in Switzerland. Working across the UK, Canadian, and Swiss philanthropic landscapes has given her a comparative view of how private support for culture is structured in each.
Elke holds a Master’s degree in Arts and Heritage Management from London Metropolitan University and a Bachelor’s degree in History and English from the University of Zurich.
